I am putting new cams in and I was checking mine oil pump. The SM states that as soon as installed, the pump"s gerotor have to stand proud by .08 to .09", if not replace the tide washer, 보다 if not .08" change oil pump.Mine steps .032", i guess I should replace the washer, yet .08" seems choose a lot. Has anyone right here measure this and is .08" correct?Regards

Anyone below measure their oil pump to watch how much it stand proud when installed? ns am do the efforts to do the decision to go v this pump or purchase a feuling pump.I have an extremely slight scoring ~ above my camer plate, which ns don"t think warrents instead of the plate. However I am torn on the oil pump. Right now motor is stock other than for TW26As, AC and also exhaust. Ns am putting in the Baisley spring. My existing pump measures great as far as clearance in between the gerotor teeth, the just measurement not approximately spec is the .08" measurement for the installed proud. However, at the high point it only stood up about .04. If ns pressed on the low spot, the high spot would only come as much as .06. Due to the fact that that was less than the .08, i purchased a new seperator feather & remeasured. The outcomes were the same. SM said to change the pump body & in ~ that point I said screw it & bought the Feuling pump. May, or might not, have really to be necessary, but IMO the tranquility of mind to be worth the $.

Thanks, your measurements are the exact same that ns have...so maybe it is okay. I am in ~ the suggest of buying the Feuling pump too and also perhaps their camer plate. My crank runout is measure up good, so this could be the best way to expand the life the the motor.
